Naramata Lakeside Guesthouse
The snow is gone, the birds are singing, and the grass is turning green. Grapevines are being pruned. Spring is in the air. Neighbors are spring cleaning and businesses are looking their best. The annual Huge Naramata Garage Sale is gearing up for the end of April. As hundreds of visitors flock to the village, they are given a map of multiple garage sale stops. The whole village is in party mode. It’s a great way to recycle and reuse items that would have ended up in the landfill. In addition to treasure hunting, my favourite stop is the homemade cinnamon buns at the church. Some guests come every year just for the day. We were recently in Victoria when the new bridge opened. It was fun partying on the old and new bridge. Community spirit is a beautiful thing. No matter how big or small your event is, be sure to celebrate it. Life is what you make it.
That’s my view from the deck.
