The lake looks different now without leaves on the trees. Sometimes, it looks very "Monet." That's when the sun shines white between the ripples, resembling a Monet painting. It snowed last night. Even though my run along the lake today was crisp, the water was so clear, the sky blue, and the sun warm on my back.
There is much chaos here, with the ongoing renovations and the preparation for the Christmas season. The Christmas music was playing as I made time to wrap presents. I decided to repurpose the plain, brown wrapping paper left over from the move. I embellished the paper with a patterned ink roller and some plaid ribbon. Not bad. It is usually one gift per person, as we try to keep it simple. It's really about having the presences rather than the presents of those you love. That's my view, from the deck.
May you enjoy all the gifts of the season. Wishing you health and happiness and may our paths cross in 2016.
From our family to yours, Merry Christmas.
